Here are answers to common questions about the set design process, scales, lead times, and working together on animation productions.

What scales do you typically build in?

I work across various scales standards, however in stop-motion animation the most commonly is 1:6, however every set is differnt so my portfolio will show a variety from 1:1 to HO scale. 

How early in pre-production should I get in touch?

Reaching out during storyboarding or concept design is ideal. The earlier the better, even if it's just to chat about possible ideas.

Where are you based, and can sets be shipped?

I am based in Hounslow, West London. Sets can be built in modular sections for convenient transport and studio installation across the UK and internationally.

What materials do you use for your builds?

I employ a diverse selection of materials, including high-density foam, timber, Felt, clay. I am a big advicator of recyling and always choosing the more econimical way to build.

Do you provide on-set maintenance during production?

Yes, I am available to provide on-set support during filming days in London and the surrounding areas.

How can I get an estimate for my animation project?
